My name is Irith (EE-REET) Shade Shemesh and I love to dance!  I began formal dance training as a young girl who wanted to wear a tutu. Over time, other things took over my life but I never forgot my love of dance and missed it very much.  While at university, I discovered Israeli Dance and haven't looked back in over 20 years.

 

I have had the privilege to dance, teach and perform Israeli dance all over the United States, as well as such far flung places as Israel, Germany, Australia, Brazil, France, England and Switzerland.  My love for dance and for Israel have only grown since I discovered Israeli Dance and the amazing community world-wide.  I have also been lucky to be able to train with some of the best teachers and choreographers of dances for children.

 

Now that I have my own children, this passion has been passed down to them and their friends, and I am lucky enough to be able to teach a whole new generation of little dancers!  And I love every minute of it!
